| Muir Woods, California |
The drive into the woods though is wild, with crazy hairpin turns and some steep drops.
It reminded me of the trip I took with my sister to Kalispell, Montana. We took the Going to the Sun Road - a drive I would recommend as the scenery is incredible, but if you don't like heights, and scare easy - you are probably better off not to take this route.
Muir Woods was named for the conservationist, John Muir who said,
"This is the best tree-lover's monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world."
I love Muir Woods and couldn't get over the incredible smell of the trees and their sheer size!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! I had the feeling like I was walking back into a time forgotten.
ReplyDeleteI loved this place, there's a magic energy stored over the eons in the trunks of those trees
